Kissell Law Group Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 3, 2026

Kissell Law Group, LLC (“Kissell Law Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information through our websites, including kisselllawgroup.com and kissell.com, and through inquiries, intake, chat, telephone calls, text messages, and related communications. Our professional duties to clients and prospective clients also apply where required by law and the Missouri Rules of Professional Conduct.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, telephone number, email address, contact preferences, information about your legal inquiry or matter, and documents or photographs you submit. We may maintain communications, chat transcripts, intake notes, and records showing your communication preferences, consent, or requests to stop communications.

Our website and service providers also collect technical and usage information, which may include IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring websites, approximate location derived from technical information, and dates and times of visits. Cookies and similar technologies may be used to support website functions, measure traffic, and understand how visitors use the website.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries; evaluate possible representation and conflicts of interest; conduct intake; communicate about consultations, fees, hiring decisions, appointments, and legal matters; provide legal services when retained; operate and improve our website and services; understand website traffic and performance; maintain security and records; honor communication preferences; and meet legal and professional obligations.

Confidentiality and legal inquiries

We treat information submitted about a legal inquiry or matter as confidential and handle it consistent with our applicable professional obligations. We do not publish that information or use it for unrelated third-party marketing. Access is limited to people and service providers who need it for an authorized purpose, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.

Contacting us, using our website or chat, or sending information does not by itself establish an attorney-client relationship. Whether a particular communication is protected by attorney-client privilege or duties owed to a prospective client depends on the circumstances and applicable law. Please initially provide only the information reasonably needed to explain your inquiry, and contact us before sending especially sensitive materials.

Service providers and permitted disclosures

We use service providers to support website hosting, analytics, technology, communications, intake, and related firm operations. This includes Blazeo, which provides website chat and after-hours answering and follow-up services on our behalf. Information supplied through those services may be received and processed by the provider so our firm can respond to your inquiry.

We limit service-provider access to information reasonably needed for the services they perform and require appropriate confidentiality and security protections. Providers assisting with a legal inquiry or matter are not authorized by us to use its contents for their own unrelated purposes or independent marketing.

We may disclose information with your authorization, as reasonably necessary to provide requested services, or as permitted or required by applicable law and our professional obligations. Examples may include responding to lawful legal process, protecting against fraud or security threats, or obtaining professional advice concerning our own legal obligations. Any disclosure of information protected by a professional duty remains subject to that duty; these examples do not create a broader right to disclose confidential legal information.

No sale of personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not provide personal information from your legal inquiry or matter to third parties for their independent marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information and text-message consent

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile telephone information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are specific to Kissell Law Group and are not sold, transferred, or provided to others for their own messaging programs.

Providers acting solely on our behalf may process mobile numbers, messages, communication preferences, and consent records only as needed to deliver our authorized communications, administer preferences, maintain records, and meet applicable obligations. They are not authorized to use your consent to send their own marketing messages. This restriction controls over any broader service-provider disclosure in this policy.

Website analytics and your choices

We monitor website traffic and use analytics to understand visitor activity, measure website performance, and improve the website. Analytics providers may receive technical and usage information through cookies or similar technologies. Their handling of information is also subject to their applicable privacy notices and our arrangements with them.

You can manage or block cookies through your browser or device settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website features and may not prevent every form of technical data collection.

Calls, texts, and communication preferences

Our outreach calls and substantive text messages are placed or sent by people. We do not use autodialed marketing calls, prerecorded sales calls, or automated marketing text campaigns. We may use service-provider platforms to deliver communications and administer messaging preferences.

We seek appropriate permission for communications and honor applicable consent and opt-out requirements. Viewing this policy or our Terms & Conditions does not itself provide consent to receive text messages.

You may reply STOP to a text message to opt out, or communicate a clear request to stop by contacting us. For assistance, reply HELP or call 314-669-4394 or email tomkissell@gmail.com. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent to text messages is not a condition of hiring the firm. Additional information appears in our Terms & Conditions.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, email, text message, network, or device can be guaranteed completely secure. Public networks, shared accounts, and devices accessible to other people may create additional risks. Contact us if you need a more secure way to communicate or submit documents. Nothing in this policy waives our legal or professional responsibilities.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, taking into account the nature of the inquiry or matter, professional and legal recordkeeping obligations, security needs, and applicable retention practices. We may retain limited consent and suppression records after an opt-out to document and honor your preferences.

Requests and third-party websites

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information, or to raise a privacy concern. We will evaluate requests under applicable law and our professional obligations. Some records cannot be deleted because they must be maintained for a legal, professional, or other legitimate purpose.

Links to outside websites are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes and contact information

We may update this policy by posting a revised version and updating the date above. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
